Susan L. Santangelo, Sc.D., is Associate Professor of Psychiatry (Genetics) at Harvard Medical School, and Director of the Statistical Genetics and Genetic Epidemiology Lab in the Psychiatric and Neurodevelopmental Genetics Unit at the Center for Human Genetic Research at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is also Associate Professor in Epidemiology, Harvard School of Public Health and a member of the faculty for the Training Program in Psychiatric Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Santangelo's research focuses on the elucidation of underlying mechanisms (both genetic and non-genetic) of psychiatric phenotypes. She has published extensively in this arena and as worked with Drs. Buka and Goldstein for many years, including the genotyping and statistical analyses of DNA samples from the New England Family Study (NCI P50 CA084719) that will also be included in this SCOR.
