Anne Klibanski, M.D., is the Laurie Carrol Guthart Professor of Medicine, Chief of the Neuroendocrine Unit and Chief of the Division of Endocrinology at MGH. She was instrumental in establishing and directing one of the first multi-disciplinary clinics for patients with pituitary and neuroendocrine disorders in the country, the MGH Clinical Neuroendocrine Center, which involves endocrinology, neurology, neurosurgery and psychiatry in clinical research and care. She has worked with patients with endocrine consequences of psychiatric disorders for many years. An internationally recognized clinical investigator, Dr. Klibanski has served on NIH study sections and has received numerous Awards including election to the ASCI and AAP. She was the recipient of the Endocrine Society Clinical Investigator Award. As Director of the Harvard Catalyst CTSA Clinical Research Center, Dr. Klibanski oversees numerous clinical research studies. Dr. Klibanski has had a long-standing interest and investigative career in pituitary and hypothalamic regulation. She has worked for over 20 years on the relationship between psychiatric disorders and the endocrine system, with a focus on anorexia nervosa, consequences of central estrogen and androgen deficiency syndromes and abnormalities of the GH/IGF-1 axis.Publications by Dr. Klibanski
